Feb. 27 Ashkenaz Music & Dance Benefit for EBMC and Art of Living

Five local acts share the stage for an uplifting night of music and dancing to raise money for two meditation organizations: East Bay Meditation Center and Art of Living. San Francisco funk and rock quartet Ama Evolution sings and plays high-energy original songs. BRWN Bflo founder Somos One steps out with his solo project.

Dr. Margarita Loinaz, guest teacher at EBMC Open Sitting Group on Friday, Feb. 11, 2011

The guest speaker for the EBMC Friday Open Sitting Group on February 11th will be H. Margarita Loinaz, M.D.. She was born in the Dominican Republic and emigrated to the US in 1970. She has been a Buddhist practitioner for over 35 years in the Therevada and Tibetan traditions and is a graduate of the first Community Dharma Leaders program at the Spirit Rock Meditation Center where she contributed to the initiation of the Diversity Program.
